Privacy Notice

This site is run by Jane Sandison-Smith, an independent Tropic Skincare Ambassador. This notice explains what happens to your information if you get in touch. It is deliberately short, because very little happens.
What this website collects
Nothing. This page sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no tracking pixels and has no forms. You can read it without leaving any trace with me.
My web host, Arvixe, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. That is normal for any website and is handled under their own policies.
If you email me
When you use the Contact button, you send an email directly to jane-smith@blueyonder.co.uk. I will see whatever you choose to put in it — typically your name, email address and your question.
- I use it only to reply to you and to help with what you asked about.
- I do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone for marketing.
- I do not add you to any mailing list unless you ask me to.
- I keep enquiry emails only as long as they are useful, then delete them.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests — you contacted me and expect a reply.
Links to other sites
The buttons on my homepage take you to my Tropic shop, the Tropic Ambassador sign-up, and my social media profiles. Once you leave this site, those companies' own privacy policies apply, not mine. If you buy from Tropic or sign up as an Ambassador, Tropic Skincare is the data controller for that, not me.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
